Ivy - the later years

Ivy travelled through north Africa in 1962 as part of a cultural . She was horrified by the she saw there. She stayed in Egypt for six months to help at a station for women and children. She had learnt a lot about first aid and during the Spanish Civil war, and was a big help to the doctors there.

In 1982 she was in anti-war protests during the Falklands war between Great Britain and Argentina. It was difficult in the mood of Jingoism, nationalism, and militarism of that year. She worked at an animal in the north of England, where she became vegan. She also wrote feminist articles for feminist magazines.

Since 2002 Ivy has lived in a in the country, where she grows vegetables. She writes feminist articles for radical magazines. She has been involved in animal rights protests, such as against Cambridge University's plan to build a new experimentation laboratory.
